Description:
Mac Khen pepper has a tart flavor. The aroma is citrusy and somewhat reminiscent of tangerine peel. Similar to Szechuan pepper, the small berries numb the tongue at higher doses. Mac Khen goes very well with sour Vietnamese and Thai soups, any grilled poultry and fish. It is also excellent for preparing chocolates and for flavoring fruit (especially pineapple).
Mac Khen pepper is very rare and is exclusively collected wild. Our pepper comes from the rainforests of northern Vietnam.
Usage:
The branched fruits can be ground in with a ceramic mill, but can also be cooked whole. You should add the pepper only in the last third of the cooking time. Please dose carefully! The pepper is very productive and the selected package size is absolutely sufficient for a household.
