Real red pepper
Description:
Our red Kampot pepper is fully ripe harvested berries from the province of the same name in Cambodia. The berries are grown on sunny plantations and are handpicked after harvest. Due to the late harvest time and the sunny location, this pepper has a full-bodied, fruity aroma with pronounced spiciness and is equal in quality and taste to the red Pondicherry pepper. Unlike the white pepper, which is also harvested fully ripe, this pepper includes both pulp or kernel and the peel, which is responsible for the pepper's spiciness due to the high piperine content.
We recommend using this rarity exclusively for seasoning dishes. The very distinct pepper aroma and fruity spiciness harmonize perfectly with short roasted meat, grilled fish, heavy sauces for game as well as salads of any kind.
Usage:
The aroma of pepper is not heat resistant. Because of this, pepper should not be overcooked in braised dishes, for example, as this would result in the loss of its fine aroma. The whole pepper berries can be crushed with a pepper mill or mortar. Due to the sharpness, dose carefully.
