Description:
Shichimi Togarashi, the Japanese seven-spice powder, comes in numerous variations. Most blends available in Europe are not very authentic and replace the traditional Japanese ingredients with cheaper components. Our blend is an original Japanese product from Kagawa Prefecture. The Japanese Mikan mandarin and the genuine Sansho give the blend an elegant citrus note, the chili a subtle spiciness.
Shichimi Togarashi is a popular seasoning for miso soup, udon, nabemono and yakitori. Generally also very good with poultry and fish, as well as fatty meats.
Usage:
Shichimi Togarashi is particularly suitable as a table seasoning. If in doubt, add at the very end, as Sansho pepper does not tolerate longer cooking times well.
Ingredients:
Chili, mikan mandarin zest, black sesame seeds, nori seaweed, sansho pepper (spring sansho), hemp seeds, blue poppy seeds.
Aroma/Flavor:
