Description:
Chakalaka is a South African tomato-based condiment sauce that is popular with bread and meat. The spicy-hot flavour of the mixture gives the sauce a typical note for the melting pot of South Africa.
In Northern and Central Europe, the blend is now also a popular ingredient for preparing dips based on crème fraîche, curd, tomato paste or ketchup.

To prepare a dip, mix the same amount of the mixture with a little lukewarm water and allow to swell briefly. Then simply stir into the respective dairy product or ketchup.
