Product information "Pink Salt Flakes"
also: Punjabi Salt Flakes
Description:
The light pink colored salt flakes originate from the northern Pakistani province of Punjab. The Salt Range, a mountain range adjacent to the Himalayan Mountains, is the origin of numerous salt products and one of the largest salt mining areas in Asia. To produce the salt, the first step is to make a brine from the rock salt. Similar to fleur de sel, the water then evaporates in extensive basins. Small islands of salt are formed, which are skimmed off by hand and, after drying, produce a fine flaky finger salt.
Due to its fine texture, the salt is very suitable for seasoning food, especially high-quality beef steaks and grilled fish.
Usage:
The fine salt flakes can be easily rubbed with fingers to the desired granulation. It is very suitable as table salt for seasoning and for making your own spice or herb salts.

Fish in a bed of salt, pickled anchovies, potatoes with a salt crust.
