Description:
Mu-Err is a Chinese edible mushroom used in many Asian dishes. It has a delicate mushroom flavour and absorbs the aroma of the cooking liquid during preparation. Mu-Err mushrooms are excellent as an addition to noodle and rice dishes, as a soup ingredient, for fillings in Asian dumplings and for preparing vegetable stir-fries.
Usage:
As the mushroom has a weak flavour of its own, it can be used generously. The mushroom should be heated thoroughly and allowed to swell for at least 30 minutes. Therefore, you should pour boiling water or broth over it and let it soak in the liquid. For dishes that are cooked for longer, the mushroom can also be added directly.
The mushroom gains considerable volume when soaking. When using it for the first time, you should therefore be careful with the quantity. Our mushrooms are quite finely chopped and therefore do not need to be chopped after swelling.
