Wild garlic is an ancient wild vegetable native to Europe that is not commercially cultivated. It has enjoyed growing popularity in Germany since the 1990s. The intense aroma of wild garlic is reminiscent of garlic and chives and is excellent in salads, soups, vegetable dishes and cream and yogurt sauces.
Wild garlic should not be heated too much, otherwise its aroma is lost. It is best to add towards the end of cooking.
