The berries of the Brazilian and Peruvian pepper tree are often confused with red pepper. However, in terms of taste and botany, pink pepper has little in common with red pepper. Pink pepper does have a slight pepper aroma, but its taste is more reminiscent of juniper berries. It goes well with salads, game, fish and pâtés and is often used simply for decoration.
Usage:
Pink pepper is very soft and can therefore be eaten without any problems. Season to taste.
