Chives are very popular in German cuisine. Here, the aromatic herb seasons omelets, potato dishes and fish. The subtle onion-like flavor makes very tasty dips for vegetables and as a spread when combined with dairy products such as cream cheese, cottage cheese and yogurt.

Usage:
Chives should be added to food just before serving, otherwise their flavor will quickly dissipate. Since dried chives taste less intense than fresh you can safely use twice the amount.
