Description:
This Indian chili is one of the hottest varieties available. It is not for nothing that it is called ghost chili (Bhut Jolokia) or poison chili (Bih Jolokia), depending on the region. Its measured peak heat values reach over 1 million Scoville units! It should therefore be dosed very sparingly and, if possible, not come into direct contact with the skin. Flavor-wise, it is reminiscent of the closely related Habanero with distinct notes of pineapple and passion fruit.
